will photofiltre version 6.2.4 work on windows 7 64 bit?

just wondering-I know the version is old but I like it,will it work on windows 7 64 bit?

Hi Rod,

All the updated PhotoFiltre releases are in 32 bits but they work fine on W7 OS in 64 bits.
Usually just install the program in this folder (system) : C:\Program Files (x86), dedicated to the 32 bits softs.
Or they run also very well when they are installed in any other folder where the accesses aren't restricted by the system.

The 6 release has been updated in 6.5.3. You should try it. But i don't think you would meet big troubles to use the 6.2.4 in this context.
The release PhotoFiltre 7 is also available ( free of charge ) and works with a very interesting concept of layers which mays to work
with transparency and blending modes. It's very funny for photography retouching or photomontage.
Take a little time and try it you will be very amazed.

I dont know what to say-I just cant understand how to use layers,had photoshop for a while and gave up-I know how to paste an image but not work with layers,I will have to play with it sometime to understand.

If there is a tutorial on how to use them I would read it.

there are many tutorials to manage your pictures with layers, it was the reason why i asked you what kind of work you practice usually.
If you practice portrait or group photo, you could need something like this one, for example :

Thanks Tom I saw that before no help-I will just have to play and see what I can do,I know how to use photoshop filters but am a little rusty as I built my site 5 years ago or so(I am getting old!)

like every body i presume, a little more each day, but never in mind if you let it play and work.
Playing with layers is a very good opportunity to keep a young brain.
Don't worry, i'm not either a partridge of the year.

I made those with a lot of photoshop filters and could not do it again as I forgot! All those were created with 3 images-then using all kinds of filters.

At that time I was not writing down how I made them but at least I have them and that is good!
