It would be nice to have an option for the brushes to pick up the background color of the image as they move over the image. The brush color would change as it moves, depending on the background color. This would make creating "paintings" a breeze.
Are there any plans for such a feature?

Hello Jim,
How are you? I would love to see an example of how this works. Do you have it as a tutie anywhere? Or do you have a finished product? Is it something like Deep Paint? Thanks...........Jack

I meant something like the smudge tool. It uses the color of the image rather that the foreground color swatch. Photoshop Elements has an Impressionist brush that works the same way. It simplifies the underlying image using the image's own colors. You just paint the effect like a brush.
I don't know if Deep Paint works this way. I just think that it would be a great feature to have a brush that gets its color from the image instead of from the foreground color box. It could paint with this color until you release the mouse. Then it would paint with another color, the color under the brush.
Maybe this hasn't been done, but it seems like it wouldn't be too difficult. Just have a checkbox to use the underlying image color instead of the selected foreground color. The smudge tool must work something like this already. It knows to enough to use the image's own colors.
