Just upgrade from your version to the newer PhotoFiltre Sudio.
With this version which supports the 8BF filters, a whole new amount of possibilities are added to PF. Really affordable...something like $25-$30 if I remember well.
At this point do a google search on these sites for downloading free 8BF plug-ins : Xero, DCE tools, Graphic Plus, Little Ink tools, Mehdi, etc. There is a lot more depending on your needs.
After few easy adjustments, you'll be surprised!
