How do I - Reduce Shadows?

In Photofiltre, there is this option Adjust/ More Shadows and Adjust/ More Highlights. I was wondering if More Highlights means to reduce shadows? In a photo, what do I do if I want to reduce the shadows? Is it possible to have slider kind of system where the default is shown at 0 and we can move the slider from -10 to +10 to increase or decrease the shadows and the same way for highlights.

Have just a look at menu Adjust / Levels .

I saw the Adjust / Levels, but I moved Threshold, but nothing happened?

What is the difference between Threshold & Intensity? Do we have to use both at the same time or only any one?

Yes Jogy,
that's right,

when Intensity=0 any action on Threshold dont change anything.
For my experience to reduce shadows :
- first decrease Intensity between -30 and -50 before appears a white haze or mist
- use Threshold by decrease the ratio for fade Intensity, or increase ratio to strength Intensity.
But generaly i apply this tool on a selected part of image with the polygon selection.
