How do I cut a specific item out of a picture?specific piece

For instance the magic wand, how that works, it outlines environments/items in the picture.

Example: You have a picture of a house surround by trees. How would I manage to just get the house out of the picture, to cut it out of it?

Sometimes the magic wand works, but in general Its always either to sensitive or to magestic, its not what Im looking for.

Are there easier ways?

There is no easier way.
But an efficent one, yes :
You can try the lasso or the polygon tool.
