Change selection ratio

Hi, I need to crop a few portraits to identical ratio to make a "trombinoscope".
I need to make a selection with a fit ratio of 3:4 (3 width to 4 height) in a picture with horizontal orientation.
Somehow Photofiltre seems to sense whether a picture is horizontal or vertical and adopts the orientation accordingly (4:3 for horizontal and 3:4 for vertical).
I this possible?

no, you must create 2 folders, on for vertical and another for horizontal and batch separatelly (by folder)
