I'm really not sure how many people are using them. It seems that most of the users are not english speaking folks and I know from what I have seen the google translation can be hard at times. You were not sure of this ?
Anyway I'll keep doing the tutorials in hopes that more people come around.
I'm actually going to open a new section on my site. It will be called:
1,001 effects No Plug-Ins Needed.
It will be various effects one gets from all those photoshop 8bf filters everyone thinks they need using only PhotoFiltre (No FIlters). Thus the name No Plug-Ins Needed.
Now don't get me wrong I have every plug-in known to mankind but that being said I rarely if ever use them and think they are bad for the beginner. I noticed all the Studio users are talking about them and I can tell you from years of experience teaching people that they only hurt themselves. They spend too much time playing with filters and not enough time learning what the program can actually do on it's own.
What people don't understand is that most filters are nothing more than a couple simple steps the program can already do on it's own packaged together. While this is great in certain instances, there is less control over the effect because it is a canned set of instructions and folks never really understand the why and how of it.

Hi Bill,
Are you going to crusade ?
Sure, it will be a big and great work !
In facts, i'm thinking you are in the right way to help learning the bases of a graphic editor like PF and Studio.
However, (few) some 8BF filters are very useful, and if you can explain how work the best of them, realy it will be useful more.

I do use your tutorials which are very good ! No need to be bilingual to follow them ! As for the google translation I love that one: Zoom in to 300% =bourdonnement dedans à 300%I'm really not sure how many people are using them. It seems that most of the users are not english speaking folks and I know from what I have seen the google translation can be hard at times.
