Hue / Saturation bug

Hi All,

I've been using photofiltre for a few days now and I'm starting to feel its one of the greatest freeware photo and picture editor apps for now compared to its simplicity. Really good work guys. This is now my number one.

Yet I still have to use ******** or ************ (no competitors here! ) at times because the Saturation adjustment is not working in PF 6.5.2 as expected.

The bug is when I use saturation slider. It affects all colors' saturation no matter if I choose only one channel.
For instance: I want to lower yellow channel's saturation -> I choose yellow channel -> I turn the saturation slider down -> I see that all channels saturation is lowering, the image is going towards greyscale!

The same goes if I want to add some punch for one color via the saturation slider -> all the colors in the image are affected, not that particular one channel I chose.

Tested with several jpegs with different colors.

I'm not experiencing this bug in all images but you can test it here.

Open the image in PhotoFiltre and move the red or yellow saturation down. The blue colors are also getting dull.
In other editor it works fine.

what function exactelly ? Hue / Saturation or Color balance ?

Thank you for your question. The Hue/Saturation plug-in as stated.
Via color balance you only can balance colors, but not to lower (or boost) specific colors.

In your image the blue is not 100% blue but contains Red and Green. When you reduce the yellow, you reduce the Red and Green channel and this desaturate all colors.


Perhaps a better result with a tolerance for blue composit, dont'know how works exactelly other soft algorithm...
