Hi,
Sometimes I want to paste a selection from one image to another. So.... I use the polygon function to outline what I want, then copy, and paste into the other image. The problem is that ..... what gets pasted contains, not only what I outlined, but also the area between it and the rectangle that surrounds it. How can I paste 'only what I outline' into the other image?
Thanks,
...... john

Re: pasting from one image to another.
Hi John,
it's a known Windows clipboard's bug.
Between several softwares, while sometimes, Windows is a little lost, with the transparency.
You have better to save your work, close all and restart.

Hi Tom,
Thanks for replying.
I'm a little confused by your answer. Are you saying that windows will not do what I want,
that I will have to remove the excess manually somehow?

P.S. I think it used to work a long time ago, but I'm not really sure.

Re: pasting from one image to another.
Sorry my answer is perhaps a little garbled.
After some several hours of work and using several softwares, Windows (often with XP) can have some troubles with the memory
and particularly with the transparency of the images.
Perhaps you can save the selection form and after it's better to close Windows and restart the computer,
then you will see it works fine with a full refreshed memory.

Re: pasting from one image to another.
I'm happy to report that 'oddly enough' this problem disappeared.
