what kind of file, is it a special JPG ? which weight ? or which size in pixels ?
Have you tried to open it with "XnView import" plugin ? : http://www.photofiltre-studio.com/plugi ... hp?lang=en
Look at PhotoFiltre Plugins Pack at the bottom of the page, it install correctly the complementary dll needed.

Unable to load image in file.
I found that PhotoFiltre expects the file to be as the extension indicates.
try this: open your .jpg file in a text editor, view the very first line. Does it say "png" or "tiff". then rename the file to match the identifier IN the file. You may find that is will open in Photofiltre just fine now.
