I know this is probably super easy but how do I resize a photo to print out as a 4x6? When I change the canvas or image size it cut the photo down (so i have a 4x6 of only the centre of the picture) rather than shrinking the whole image.
Thanks
jan

Re: Need help resizing to a 4x6
Hello Jan,
Your print resizing is executed in your print set-up window. The approach to the option varies from one program to another however they are so similar, once you have done it one time, it is more obvious how to do it in other programs.
So, go to file then print, and follow the instructions for sizing in the particular program you are using, such as PhotoFiltre. I could be more specific, but it is best to learn hands-on and by reading the steps contained in your program.
If you need more specific instructions, please let us know in which program you are working, and if PhotoFiltre, the version. Thanks.

Hi,
perhaps do you confuse Image size and canvas size ?
Jaume said true : this process is managed in the print window :

Re: Need help resizing to a 4x6
Here's some more details.
I am using photofiltre 6.3.2
I took a family picture in landscape and I want to crop with the right proportions so it will print out as a 4x6 in portrait. I want to upload it to a photo store to have it printed. I need to be able to properly crop it so I don't end up with white edges or the tops of our heads cut off when I upload it to the photo store.

Re: Need help resizing to a 4x6
Hi,
So, you want crop a photo at 2x3 ratio in a different orientation (and not 4x6 inches) and save it.
So, you want crop a photo at 2x3 ratio in a different orientation (and not 4x6 inches) and save it.

- Do any rectangular selection in portrait mode
- menu Selection / Fit ratio / 3:2 format
- Hold the Shift key down, and drag any corner handle to resize the selection without losting the ratio
- When the selection is placed as you wish in the right ratio, you can crop and save.
