paste bug ?

I may have found a little bug in Photofiltre 6.2.6. It happens when I paste some text bitmap with paste options set with transparency and automatic antialiasing on. The text gets crippled and becomes unreadable. It does not happen when automatic antialiasing off. It has something to do with the antialiasing but I can't understand it. To illustrate this weird behavior i made a short demo (4.6 MB).

It's not a bug. For antialiasing, PF needs to truncate some pixels. To antialias text when pasting, use bold font, the result is better...

Yes, but it seems the anti-aliasing could be implemented in a better way. The truncating seems very crude. Some black parts get totally erased. OK, when using bold there are no missing parts in the text, but also in this case the cutoff is rather crude. Instead of removing some black pixels it may be better to replace them with gray ones.

I don't know, maybe the current method makes more sense when using photos instead of text. I use Photofiltre a lot for annotation of screenshots with text and arrows and such. I don't need anti-aliasing this way so no problems for me anyway. Just some thoughts...
