New Nozzles

The nozzle files are 32 bit png files, but saving a png file in PFS creates 24 bit files. Can we create new nozzles with PFS?

I made a png file of photo corners. You can see it at

Does it need to be 32 bits to work as a nozzle?[/url]

Okay, now I have it saved as a 32 bit file with transparency, but it still doesn't show up in the nozzles list. Does it need a number somewhere?

you need to respect the size. The width must be a mutiple of the height. Each element of the nozzle must be a square

I changed the size to 400 x 100 pixels. It's a 32 bit png file. But it still doesn't show up in the list of nozzles.

What else do I need to do?

Hi Jim,

It seems your file is not converted in RVBA (alpha chanel) mode.
I have converted and saved it. After close and re-open PFS, the corners are in the nozzles list.

Now I have it. It's a fun feature.

I like the Oil-based painting brush too.

PFS 8 is a great program, my only photo editor!
