Urgent Help Please! Missing Parts of The Tools Palette!

Message par kdigital »

Hi All,

I'm using version 6.2.6. Not sure if it's okay to upload a screenshot so that all can see what I am *attempting* to explain here, so for now I will ramble through with the problem.

I'm missing parts of the tools palette. There is no stamp tool, and the blur and smudge tools are hidden, with just enough that when I click in those areas, the words will show for me to actually click on them, but that is all. I do not know if there are any other tools missing, as I don't know all of the tools that come in this version.

I would greatly appreciate any and all advice, suggestions!

Thank you so much!
Antonio

Hi and thank you for replying! I went to the site you gave, and it's another search portal. None of the links there took me anywhere. Is there not another way of showing you a screenshot, could I not perhaps email you the screenshot?

From messing around with photofiltre so far, I really love the proggy, and I'm hoping to get this *lack of tools on the tool palette* fixed up as quick as possible.

Thank you!

6.2.6 Screen Shot

Message par kdigital »

Hi,

Okay I went to the site and joined, and now have a screen capture to show you. I'm not sure which link to the image I am to give, so I will post the ones that imageshack gave me. I hope this info will help in telling/showing you what I mean by no *tools* on the palette, and that the ones I do have are cut off.

Thank you!

Re: Alta Vista (Theme?)

Message par kdigital »

Hi,

I'm using Style XP, but it is the Happy Visual StylesTheme, not Alta Vista. I checked the font settings, and it is already on the smallest possible setting (normal) that the theme gives.

Any other suggestions to get this situation worked out?

Thank you!

Hi,

You can observ the icon of the selection tool is anormaly bigger than the frame of the front end colour.
I think you may ajust the icons size in the theme parameters.

The right way to be quiet in any context, is to use the default xp parameters.
Otherwise, you have to well control every hiden tools and their outcome. :(

Hi,

I'm sorry, but I'm not understanding what you are trying to explain for me to do.

What do you mean by theme parameters and default xp theme parameters? I don't understand this sorry! Please explain.

Thank you very much!

Hi Kdigital,
Sorry to disappoint ... you maybe in love with that XP theme, but, thats the one that causes the problem. Really do not know what it is, but I had a similar problem when I used the StyleXP theme GUI.Air http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=433372.

In fact, on page 37, Post 546 http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?s ... 372&st=540 I had noted this problem. After mentioning the problem and getting no feedback on this, I put the style through Stylebuilder, took it apart, took parts of another style I liked merged it all together and compiled it! I now have exactly what I wanted without the problem you have!

So, summary I guess is that the problem is with the theme ... although I must say that I too had the problem only with Photofiltre and with no other software!

Hope that helped
Cheers
Tom

Hi,

If you can't adjust the icons size in the themes settings,
it's easier to use default Windows XP style settings.
I wonder what i could simply tell more. :(
