Photofiltre 6.0.2 will not load

I have just installed Photofiltre 6.0.2 and it will not load.

My PC is running Windows XP Home Edition SP2.

Looking in Task Manager there is a process running for Photofiltre, but no application.

I have tried running in Safe Mode, installing with my anti-virus disabled, but Photofiltre will still not load.

My previous version of Photofiltre worked immediately before I tried to upgrade. I think my previous version was 6.0, but it might have been 6.0.1.

Any suggestions please?

donwload the last version 6.1 in the official web site (http://www.photofiltre.com)

Very sorry, it was 6.1 that I had downloaded

So I am even less sure which version I had before that was working

Your EXE may be corrupted.
Download PF again from Antonio's website or mine.

I have downloaded from both sites, neither will load I'm afraid.

There is quite a bit of disk activity when I start to load, but then nothing.

Is there a copy of an earlier version I can download to try

Did you do antivirus and antispyware scans ?

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem (version I downloaded on march 6), also with Windows XP SP2.
When I try to start the program, nothing happens. Installation went fine (dutch, english and french zip-version).
I also installed a newer twain_32.dll, but nothing helps. I have switched off my Norton antivirus.

The only thing that changes after I've tried to start the program, is that my computer is becomming extremely slow, so I have to restart my computer.

What's the problem?

Hi,

No, I didn't find any solution to my problem. Also because Norton antivirus and my firewall are switched off when I try Photofiltre. And I don't have any resident anti-spyware prgrams running.

I'm afraid the only solution is to format your hard drive and to reinstall Windows
