Fill with a certain style

Hi guys.
Is there a way to fill a certain zone using a style instead of a flat color?
Let me explain better: I need to fill zones with horizontal rows, others with vertical rows, others with diagonal rows and so on, all with different colors.
The result should be the same I get with Edit -> Stroke and Fill -> Fill Style, but limited to certain zones of the image.

No problem, you just have to make a selection, then use the feature you says and it will work
