Inner-Shadow for Text or layers

Hi,

I was wondering if there is a way how I can make an inner-shadow for text or layers, i.e. like the normal shadow but going inside, not outside. This would be a very cool feature for some 3D-effects. For squares I used the gradient tool to create such a shadow, but it's almost impossible to do this for font (especially because I'm losing it as text layer then). Is there a trick how to do this or is it possible that you add something in an upcoming version?

Hi,

- The text module can produce a Selection form
- the text layer can be transformed as an image layer

So you can apply a text selection form on a transparent layer, right clic in the selection / Stroke and fill / Stroke only
Keep the selection and Filter / Stylize / Progressive contour.



You can also apply your effect on a very big size (1) to control exactly the gradiant you want and after transformation as image layer
you can reduce it to the convenient size.
(1) It's better with a multiple of entire value to get optimized aliasing when you reduce the size.
