Pf program Freeze when using Import Twain.

Photofiltre 6.4.0 free experiences program freeze (Hanging application) after the first try to “Import Twain > Acquire Image”.

Photofiltre will initially contact and work with the scanner, but then the program can not be closed, and I have to use Ctrl+Alt+Delete and force Task to End.

I am using a fully patched Windows 7 on two computers and the problem is identical on both machines. I did not previously have this problem on Windows XP or Vista.

Any advise about a possible bug work around would be appreciated.

photofiltre are not compatible with scanners don't use the twain 1.9

Thank you for the information. However, I am surprised that Photofiltre 6 always Imported scans from my HP Officejet all in one scanner / printer for the past 3 years with out any problem.

What exactly is the “Import twain >acquire image” control option for?

Hi,

when you do menu File / Import Twain / Select source, have you two sources availables ?
And if so, have you tried the both ?

Only one entry...HP 5510 Officejet. Same all in one I have always used. I once thought the problem was MS update, but the Picasa 3 graphics program still imports with out any problem.

I have discovered that the Import twain from HP office jet scanner works great unless I tick “Cancel”. The Cancel command is what causes the Pf to freeze. So....guess I will always have to complete the scan action or just not open the Import twain scanner window. This looks like a bug in Pf.
