using path in PHOTOFILTRE Studio x

testing photofiltre studio x, i need help:
I tried to set TEXT to PATH, after building a new path I am getting a message that I have to close the path
before continuing, there is obviously only one way out : to save this path....
but how to use this path with a TEXT ???, I was looking for help in htm file but found no answer ???
I tried also to open an existing path, I only was able to change the points of the path .... and saving my changes ???

Can you please help , a little example would be helpful

not possible for the moment. You must convert the path to selection before closing the path, and after you can use the plugin Text2Path

sorry I still have problems....
please see what I did:
1. Using TOOLS > vectorial Path > open > loading an existing path
2. Converting Path to selection
3. Picture > Plugin > TEXT2PATH .... but my chosen Path on screen disappeared ???
Now I see a new window with Header Text2Path and in the left window predefined paths starting with
\Map\Map_Switzerland
\Map\Map_UnitedKingdom
\Map\Map_World
Aeroplan
........
but I cannot find my chosen path ???

where is my mistake ???

Text2Path don't support bitmpap selection or complex selection. Can not help you more with this plugin because i'm not the developper of this plugin

It's usefull to read in Plugins folder the Text2Path.txt file.

To use the plugin, the selection must be converted as a form filled with black colour.

Installation
============
Decompress the contents of the zip file to the PhotoFiltre 'Plugins' folder
(usually C:\Program Files\PhotoFiltre\Plugins\).

After (re)starting PhotoFiltre, Text 2 Path can be found under the menu item:

Image -> Plug-in -> Text 2 Path


Description
===========
Text 2 Path renders text along the outline of a saved selection.

Usage
=====
Select a path from the "Path" list.
Enter the text to render around the path in the "Text" box.
Click "Done" to render the text on your image.
Click "Cancel" to exit the plug-in.

Settings:
Flip - Render the text inside or outside the path.
Close Path - Specifies if you want to render the text on a closed or open path.
Smooth - Smooths the path X number of times before rendering text around it.
Scale - This specifies the size of the path.
Location - Specifies the X and Y coordinates of where to render the text on
the image.
Center - Centers the path on the image
Offset - Adjusts the starting edge the text will be drawn on the path
Space Before - Adds space before each line of text
Space After - Adds space after each line of text
Font - Allows you to choose the font, style and colour of the text.

Preview:
Press F5 or click the "Preview" button to refresh the image. (The preview will
update its self after a while, but you can force a preview by this method)

Click on the thumbnail preview to position the path

BUT I tried to do, as you proposed and filled the form with black color.
But the result is somehow very strange: text is in middle of page above text but not on path ??

I am frustrated, I think I should stop testing ???

Oh i'm sorry, i confused text2path with Contour to a selection. The black form concerns the second one.

But you can use "Contour to selection" to convert a bitmap selection as a vectorial one.

For memory, a plugin is not an original component of PhotoFiltre but a "goodie" if usefull.
