About text inputting
Hello.
I make a try of Photofiltre StudioX in Japanese.
When I choose the English font (Arial Black) by the input of the text and input it, it is reflected according to the input with a preview and the input screen, but when I push OK and come back to the layer screen, it is it in Gothic, and it is not it according to the input.
I am the same even if I input any English font.
I become even the layer screen according to the input in Photofiltre properly.
Why will be it?

Re: About text inputting
another question : after validate the text with the studio version, the text in the layer is not correct, but if you re-edit the text (using double click on the layer text), the text is displayed correctely in the preview part of the text dialog box ?
if not, what is the font name displayed in the text dialog ?
(i think the font name is lost when validate)

Re: About text inputting
Thank you very much.
When I double-click an input layer and return to a text, it's a chosen right font.

Re: About text inputting
Hi, this is codd.
Sorry for my hanging down here.
I use "PhotoFiltre 7".
I want to use Latin-fonts at "PhotoFiltre 7" on Japanese-ver. of Windows.
In case of using a font that don't have old-Japanese-CHARSET(SHIFTJIS_CHARSET) on JP-Windows, "PhotoFiltre 7" draws a text with System-Font Griph("MS P gothic"?).
Latin-fonts don't have old-Japanese-CHARSET.
(FYI, thouse latin-fonts are called "OU-BUN Font"("欧文 フォント") in Japan.)
I think, this application doesn't support Unicode, doesn't it?
Normally, such application needs a CHARSET-Selection-ComboBox in a Font-Selection-Dialog,
but this application doesn't have it.
Does this application use current CHARSET on system(DEFAULT_CHARSET)?
Would you set one of two ways to this application?
(Unicode-Support or CHARSET-Selection-ComboBox)
(Addition)
On Windows 7:
"Photofiltre 7" can draw text with a correct font-griphs at a text-setting-dialog, but can't at a text-layer.
On Windows XP:
"Photofiltre 7" can't draw text with a correct font-griphs at both of those places.
Je ne parle pas français, I can understand English a little.

Re: About text inputting
PhotoFiltre don't support unicode (16 bit charset) onbly non uncicode. Then, if you use a different charset, PhotoFiltre will display "???..." in the text layer.
You can change the non unicode charset in the windows configuration (regional > advanced)

Re: About text inputting
I use Japanese CHARSET, not Unicode.
Many Japanese documents are written with multiple CHARSETs(*usually, Japanese and ANSILatin).
We often type Japanese characters with Japanese fonts and type Latin characters with Latin fonts in a same digital document, for the purpose of visual-improvement.
I'll create figures with "Photofiltre 7" on a virtial-PC that was set to Latin CHARSET.
Thanx.
Microsoft Wordpad (sample)
