Hi friends. I'm wondering what program everyone uses for quick photo touchups, like: cropping, hue, saturation, blurring, rotating? I use Google Picasa, but I think google has sent the kill signal, because I am now unable to open the features I need.

I hate what google gave as a replacement, the google photos app. Its clunky, I am trying ACDSee, and its better but ....just doesn't click with me, are there any other lite editing programs out there? Please don't recommend photoshop, its not quick and easy.

Like Epsilon85 said Photofiltre can do all of that and more and I'm only talking about the free version.

Cropping: Simply open the image, drawing a rectangle with your mouse, right click in the rectangle, select crop image and you're done.

hue, saturation, Hue, saturation, contract and gamma/exposure are all in one window, simply click on Adjust, then Custom and all of them are there, if you tick the direct preview box, you can see the effect without having to leave the option menu and makes it very easy to make adjustments. If you want more control on some of these effects, they are there in their own option in Adjust menu.

blurring, Ok I can see the confusion here, but its easy once you know where to look. Go to Filter, then Visual Effect then Gaussian Blur..., then with the Gaussian Blur window open, make sure the direct preview box is ticked, then adjust the slider as needed. Gaussian Blur is probably the most common type of blur and the one you are most likely to need. There are others under filter, then Visual Effect, but they are more specialized.

rotating? Ah this one actually depends on what rotation angle you need. Simple 90 degree ones are easy to do by clicking on the rotate icon. In fact many options are easily available via a single click of its icon. For rotating a custom angle Click Image, then transform, then rotate free. If you are using a multilayered image, then click on the layer you wish to rotate, then on the menu, click layer, then transform, then transform free, the adjust the Angle slider as needed.
