I'm not certain it's altogether a PhotoFiltre Studio X problem and I have already posted this issue to the IrfanView forum.
Having recently installed PhotoFiltre Studio X (v10.1.0) and setting it in IrfanView 4.25 as an external editor, I've encountered a problem that can best be described as "the window won't switch." Instead of application window focus being assumed by PFS, its button in my taskbar/toolbar flashes yellow. When I click on this button, I see the image file selected in IrfanView is open and ready to edit. I would like to know if I'm missing a setting, option or pref in either app that would result in this lack of window focus behaviour.

Re: Problem using PhotoFiltre Studio X as external editor
I can open PhotoFiltre Studio X as an external editor from IrfanView, with my image ready to edit in PF, so the problem you are having must be local.

Re: Problem using PhotoFiltre Studio X as external editor
Did so. Still getting the quirky behaviour, though admittedly not as often XnView>PFS as I was IrfanView>PFS.
I think IrfanView "likes" being the frontmost app "a lot" and has a hard time "giving up the stage." I vaguely recall reading this observation on different places on the Web at different times. There are trojans around (I know because I had one) that will "cement" IrfanView in front of every other app, regardless of how big your viewing window is. It has even blocked access to my taskbar (whether or not a viewing window is "Maximized") to the point where I have to use the Start key on my keyboard to bring it back up.
If any or all of this is so, then the one to make the correction is Irfan, not Antonio.
Cheers,
BZT
