How to crop multiple images from one scanned image?

Message par pcwc66 »

Hi,

I have a scanned image which is a grid with columns and rows. So, it is just like the Font Color grid on the right side.

I want to crop each box of the grid. Ideally, if the cropping marquee can be a grid, that will be the best. But I guess it cannot be. Can I create a predefined cropping marquee which has the size of a grid's box and then use it to keep cropping and saving each box with the original scanned image showing all time?

Thanks,

Peter

The magic wand allows you to select a shape of the same color, in a adjacent area or in the whole image if you check "color".

Now i have seen the target and evidently it's not the right tool. :)

Just a liminar comment : you cannot have an automatic correct result when the grid is not perfect :
you can see the last column on the right is not lined, and the intervals are not regular.

If the grid is regular, you can try the plugin "HTML split" on this page : http://www.photofiltre-studio.com/plugi ... ins-en.htm
The html code you will get perhaps will not be usefull, but the images will be automaticaly cut and saved.

Other way : you can draw a square or rectangular selection and in menu Selection / Save the shape or Copy the shape.
Then you displace the exactly same selection on the original, copy a stamp, paste as a new image, save the new image and close it.
And so on for each stamp : the result will be better centered.
