I paste a small image into a bigger image> i right click on that small image and select "Transform"> "Free.."> i rotate the small image and press "Ok"> the small image can't be moved around anymore! It gets deselected and permanently pasted into the bigger image!
It's so annoying, can someone please help me?

Re: Help me with free rotating a image in a image
Hi,
effectively this function is a one shot step on the 6 version, and the result is freezed.
If your result is not right, you must undo by Ctrl + Z and retry to copy and rotate with an other value,
or rotate your copy on an other sheet before you paste it.
But you can avoid this problem by using layers in the 7 freeware version.

Re: Help me with free rotating a image in a image
Same process : it's better to solve this step on the original (but a duplicata is better) small image before copy and paste.
Choose a selection tool and design a selection around the area you want to keep and copy.
After drawn the selection, you can also use Edit/Optimized clipping to refine the edges

Re: Help me with free rotating a image in a image
I'm not sure if you understood what i meant, or then i don't understand what you mean..
With photofiltre 6.5.2 i paste the small image into the bigger image, then i right click on the small image and select "paste options..", and then i just tick the "Transparency" box, then i don't have any grey area around the small image.
But apparently you can't do that with photofiltre 7.
So how can i set transparency in photofiltre 7? What do i have to click?

Yes my last answer concern mostly the 6 version.
On the 7 it's more simply : select the area on the layer and right clic / crop layer

See all that grey stuff around the MC in photofiltre 7? I want to get rid of that grey stuff. How can i do that?
It should be like in the photofiltre 6.5.2 picture, no grey stuff around the image.

Re: Help me with free rotating a image in a image
With PF7, after the polygon selection (or other), right clic on this selection and use the menu Duplicate. Only After you can rotate or deform this new layer

But you don't know how to get rid of the grey stuff?Antonio a écrit :With PF7, after the polygon selection (or other), right clic on this selection and use the menu Duplicate. Only After you can rotate or deform this new layer
I can rotate and do all kind of things (except get rid of grey stuff) with the new layer without having to duplicate it first.

Re: Help me with free rotating a image in a image
Hi Anon2,
I think the grey stuff provides from the selection you have drawn in the Paint program,
the grey color was probably the background color or color 2 in Paint.
Windows don't always keep transparency as waited when you do a copy/paste from a program toward an other.
The little image must be in the same workspace of PhotoFiltre,
and then you can draw the selection and the transparency will match correctly.

No the grey stuff didn't come from paint, in 6.5.2 it's grey and in 7 it's white.Tom a écrit :Hi Anon2,

I have found a way now how to get rid of the grey stuff: same workspace of photofiltre and copy instead of "crop image> copy".
But still in 7 you can't set the transparency manually, in 6.5.2 you just click on "transparency" and voilá you get rid of grey stuff, so 7 seems to be a small step down from 6.5.2 in that matter.
Thanks for the help.

Re: Help me with free rotating a image in a image
I never see this gray in PhotoFiltre 7 !
Tell me excatelly what you do because i don't understand...
1. select a part of image with the lasso selection tool
2. Right click on this selection and use the menu Transform > Free transform or distort
No gray arround the layer or gray ?

Re: Help me with free rotating a image in a image
Select a small circle in a picture, copy that circle, start a second version of photofiltre (not same workspace), paste the circle in a picture, you should see white stuff around the circle.
Or do this in the same workspace (in the same program window): select a small circle in a picture, click crop image, click copy, paste the small circle in a picture, you should see white stuff around the circle.

Re: Help me with free rotating a image in a image
yes I've forgotten to say : you paste the whole original little image on the big one.Tom a écrit :Yes my last answer concern mostly the 6 version.
On the 7 it's more simply : select the area on the layer and right clic / crop layer
Then you get the little image as a Layer on middle of the big one.
You draw your selection and crop the layer and the external area of the selection on this Layer becomes transparent.
When the little image is in the workspace as a new image, the object upon you work is not a classical Layer, it's a background one,
and if you crop the image you can't get the same result as upon a layer.
In this case, you can use menu Image/Automatic transparency / Outside selection but for me it's not the better and quickly to proceed.
