Resolution Question

Can somebody tell me how to increase change the resolution, without have the image increase in size.

I'm trying to make a 5.47 x 4.21 postcard for a friend and it need to be 300 DPI. When I increase the DPI to that size, the entire image is huge. I am able to reduce it, but will it still be at 300 DPI, even though it says so?

Also, is there a way to merely increase the DPI to the amount without having to go back and reduce it?

I'm using both PF and PF Studio

Set first the resolution value when the unit size is in pixels, (the size does not change)
and next change the unit size to enter the target size in inch,
and ou can see the size does not increase, on the contrary.
