Combining photos and adjusting them ...

I want to create a photo (for printing) consisting of two photos on black background. While I have no problem assembling this setup, I don't know how to properly adjust the photos on that black background, e.g. by centering them horizontally or finding equal distances from top and bottom. Any advice on this???

After paste, you can use the function Selection > Center for example

Thanks! Yes, that solved one problem and when checking the possibilities under this menu I could solve the second problem as well.
