Hi Marga, my english is like my tailor too :oops:

However i tried to translate the .txt file of the Contour.zip archive :
_______________________________________________________
Description
===========

Enable a closed contour in a selection at .pfs format (PhotoFiltre format) to be transformed.

Installing
===========

Unzip content of archive in 'Plugin's' folder of PhotoFiltre.
Then restart PhotoFiltre to load the module.

This module is of Tool type and appears in menu Tools / Other under name Contour to selection...

Using
===========

Before using this plugin, a closed contour is needed (for example a puzzle piece) which can be filled or not.

Edit Tom : In my view, the selection must be filled in black.

By default, the plugin considers that the closed contour is black (0,0,0) but it is possible to select any colour (in this case, use the pipette to begin transformation)

Plugin searchs the first point of selected colour and follows-up contour to save all the browsed points by order.

If option "Optimize selection with level" is enabled, then the final selection is optimized for reduce the number of points.
Level corresponds to the maximal distance between a point and a segment. All the points belonging to a segment are deleted.
The result got with level 0 is self-same as not optimized result (but with less points).

Warning however if optimization is modified along the process, any change on the selection is lost !

Two options allow to display or not the original contour (in white) and the final selection ( in red and blue for the part selected in editing zone).

A research and replacement function is as well available.

Click upon Ok is only needed to save the selection in a .pfs file.

Good job !

To say it quickly, we can say that this plugin has no longer a real utility, because of the magic wand...

I am the lazy sort. I hate doing something more than 1 time if I can teach the program to do it for me.

That is exactly what this plug-in is for.

Create a nice pill shape button. Now using that plug-in you can save it as a pfs file and use it any time you want or you could choose not to use the plug-in and have to create the pill shape all over again.

Me I am the lazy sort. Why do 2 times what you only need to do 1 time?
:wink:

Of course this plugin can still be useful, but it was for Marga to understand :wink: This plugin has been released before the magic wand :wink:
