I was using photofiltre as usual when suddenly the eraser tool seems to have broken down. Instead of erasing things, the eraser tool suddenly started working as a strange white brush that roughly paints behind any other shapes.

I've tested this with both a completely transparent things, things with partial opacity and opaque things. The eraser completely destroys any transparency on anything it gets brushed over, and doesn't erase anything opaque at all anymore. How do I fix it?
