Hi,
I have some very heavy red/purple fringing on a photo that I took of a squirrel against the bright sky.
Is there a way I can get rid of this?
Thanks,
..... john

Re: Red/purple fringing
Need to see a photo sample. Perhaps with a white balance module ?

Hi Antonio,
Thanks for replying.
Here's an example of the fringing problem.

I'm sorry, I don't know what a white balance module is.

Re: Red/purple fringing
Hi Shinnen,
its indeed more easy with an example.
For Studio X the best tool is Artistic paintbrush tool in greyscale mode.
You have only to apply the tool upon the colored edges and the saturation is decreased.
For the 7 release, open a transparent layer, turn it in Saturation blending mode,
and paint with white color on the edges.

Re: Red/purple fringing
Hi John,
How do I open a 'transparent layer'
I think you could find some useful thing in the "Layer" menu ?
This page could also be useful for any translation :
viewtopic.php?f=21&t=14191
and this one for the documentation of PhotoFiltre Studio and 7 :
http://translate.google.com/translate?h ... /index.htm
'Saturation blending mode' function
You can activate the Layer manager tool button, in the tools panel, or press the W key,
then in the bottom of the tools panel, you can chose the blending mode in the Blend mode box.

Hi Tom,
Thanks for the help.
Yes..... I was fishing around in the layer menu, but couple of the entries mention transparency, and I wasn't really sure which one would apply.
