A couple of days ago i downloaded/installed PhotoFiltre StudioX (last
release) for testing purposes.
I have some suggestions on possible improvements, if they
may be of interest:
i'd like to see more layer blend modes
i'd like to have an adjustment mechanism for the filters like
"denoising" etc
i'd like to have a "auto white balance" filter
i'd like to have a "healing tool" (similar but not identical to
clone)
i'd like to set a stable preference for size when displaying
pictures (for example: original size)

Re: suggestions
additional blend modes: HARD LIGHT, SOFT LIGHT for example
denoising: I WAS THINKING HAVING A CURSOR ALSO FOR "EDGE PRESERVING BLUR" (no.of pixels)
healing tool: using such a tool YOU GET A DOUBLE CIRCLE, THE INSIDE CIRCLE IS THE AREA TO "HEAL", THE OUTSIDE CIRCLE IS THE AREA FROM WHICH TAKING THE TEXTURE TO REPLACE,
also with cursor for %
thanks, Diego

Re: suggestions
my trial period has expired. so i want to complete my suggestions list:
- extend to all filters the nice and useful possibility to have sliders (as "remove dust" has)
- allow for serecting both color and luminosity together when using "remove dust"
- improve the "deform tool" (or create another one) in order to operate with moving the nodes with the mouse, to expand/reduce small portions (a single net square)
- i did not find (maybe its my fault) complex brushes
- i did not find (again maybe my fault) a "curve" mechanism
- duplicate the "adjust" command for lights and shadows to operate in the opposite mod, that is: reduce lights / reduce shadows, to enhance too contrasted images in order to get out details hidden in too dark areas or too light areas
- enhance the "replace color, color range", it doesn't seem to be useful (as it is) on pictures (maybe it is good for graphics)
- extend blend modes (was in my initial message)
general comment: a good product, may become excellent in the future..congratulations
thanks for your patience,
diego
