As you may now there a so called text markers with bold colors
which can be used to mark certain parts of an article.
I want to do something similar with text in an image.
I want to drag a big line (say with 16 pixels width) over a text line.
The background should then be turned into a selected color (e.g.red).
How can I achieve this without completely cover the text but paint it semi-transparent/opaque?
Peter

So, after you paint the text, you can do Edit / Fade or more quickly : Shift + Ctrl + Z
Notice you can paint in a straight line by holding down the Shift key.

Remember: Istart with a pure image - nothing is selected.
How to let PF remember the Opacity value ?
Assume I draw a big, colored line. Afterwards I select menu
Edit->Fade line tool
and set the Opacity value to 60%. Fine.
When I draw a new line then the Opacity is 100% again.
How do I tell PF that it should use the last adjusted value (=60%) again
without having to set it again and again manually?

Fine ! you can paint with the tool you want, but the Paintbrush tool seems perhaps able to do that ?pstein a écrit :.../... How do I paint the text? .../...
